The context

Bla Bla Dubai is a day-to-night adult playground: a beach club, restaurant, rooftop, nightclub and 20 bars spread across a destination able to welcome up to 3,000 people.

Sara joined at pre-opening to head the marketing department. For the next five years, she led the brand through launch, growth and the day-to-day demands of one of Dubai’s most complex hospitality operations.

Objective

Launch a new kind of hospitality destination and create one coherent, memorable brand around many different spaces, moods and reasons to visit—then keep it culturally relevant and commercially active in one of the world’s most competitive markets.

Scope

The role went far beyond campaigns. Sara built and led the marketing function, connecting the brand to the physical experience at every stage.

  • Led the venue’s marketing from pre-opening through five years of operation
  • Directed two complete website builds and the development of a loyalty app
  • Developed new concepts, campaigns and experiences across the venue
  • Created custom merchandise and led the design and production of staff uniforms
  • Worked closely with Live Nation and All Things Live on concerts and festivals hosted at Bla Bla
  • Partnered with Dubai Tourism on multiple destination campaigns
  • Led brand, content, PR, performance, partnerships and reputation across the business

Result

Bla Bla became one of Dubai’s most recognisable homegrown hospitality destinations. Across the five-year chapter it welcomed millions of guests, hosted international artists and attracted global press—while maintaining a distinctive identity across a remarkably varied venue.

The result was not one campaign. It was a brand people knew, talked about and kept returning to.
